Discovering Incredible Rug Pads
With the addition of a rug pad, that friction and wear and tear is slowed down, thus extending the life of your rug. Obviously this is like rug pads. While this could be done, it is not something that you want to do if you want the job completed the right way. This is because the bottom of your rug is crushed against the hard floor.
After all, most people purchase area rugs so they don’t have to walk on the hard floor. If you have a closed cell pad, the dirt is held and cushioned – it’s not constantly ground against the hard floor. But has little, or nothing, to do with area rug pads usually. After all, once your rug is in place there is no possible way to determine with 100 percent accuracy as to if the right pad was used.
By placing a rug pad over the carpet and an area rug on top of that, you will be able to keep your wall-to-wall carpet in great shape and keep it clean. Speaking of dirt, a rug pad can also help keep your rug clean. This is similar to rug pads frequently. There is nothing worse than a rug that is not laying flush on the ground.
This is an extra bonus for those of us that are especially sensitive to these types of bacteria and it’s nice to know that the rug pads in our home prevent bacteria even if we aren’t especially sensitive. I hope you are now convinced that a rug pad is a good idea. Finally, a quality pad will also make your rug more comfortable to walk on.
The adhesive helps secure the rugs in place and the rug pads help to prevent rugs from slipping and causing trips and falls. You don’t want the rug pad to show, so it should be cut to be at least 1/2″ smaller all the way around. It is better to be safe than sorry. Rug pads come in all shapes and sizes and most can be sized with a pair of household scissors.
